Different, Not Less

April is Autism Awareness Month, and today, April 2, is World Autism Awareness Day.

Here are a few facts about Autism…

Autism now affects 1 in 88 children
Autism is the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the U.S.
Autism receives less than 5% of the research funding of many less prevalent childhood diseases
Boys are nearly five times more likely than girls to have autism
There is no medical detection or cure for autism
(Source: Autism Speaks)

But when you meet your first child that is on the spectrum, you understand that these facts don’t describe how amazing and wonderful these children are. Each one has their own talents and their own personality just like any other child.

25% of our sales proceeds from the Puzzle Piece Autism Awareness Cufflinks go to Autism Speaks to support the cause and fund research.
